About the build

What was built, and why

The FCA Orange Bowl Prayer Breakfast is a community event in the United States, and its organisers needed a prayer breakfast website that shared the essentials clearly and encouraged people to attend. We designed and built the site on WordPress with a welcoming look, simple navigation and a layout that reads well on phones.

A prayer breakfast website that puts event details first

Visitors can see what the event is about and how to take part within moments of landing on the homepage.

The brief

Event sites have a short, focused job. Guests want the key facts, a sense of what to expect and an easy way to respond. Organisers want a site that looks credible to supporters and partners and that they can update as plans firm up. The client asked for a clean, modern design that followed web best practice and kept the message front and centre.

Our approach

We worked through the user interface first, deciding what each visitor needs to see and in which order. The homepage leads with the event name and purpose, then moves into supporting information and a clear call to action. Large headings, readable body text and consistent buttons make the page easy to scan, while plenty of white space keeps it feeling calm and dignified.

Throughout the project we shared advice on website best practice, from content hierarchy to image sizing. The site runs on WordPress with a responsive layout and editable sections, and it includes on-page SEO basics such as clear titles, tidy URLs and alt text.

Clear communication throughout

The project ran on quick, clear updates. Each round of feedback was answered promptly, so decisions were made fast and the site came together smoothly.
