Web developer in New Haven: a credentials page a university buyer can approve you from

Before a purchasing office approves a new supplier, it goes through your insurance, certifications, registrations and references one at a time. A gap in any of them stops the process. One page holds all of it, stated plainly beside what you supply and at what scale, and building that page, with the site around it, is my job as a web developer in New Haven, and the build happens in Kolkata, India.

Overview

Worded as the certificate words it

Every document sits on one page, worded exactly as it appears on the certificate.

That's the page laid out first, one click from the home page, so nobody has to chase anything by email. Each entry names who issued it and when its renewal falls due.

Your everyday local trade has pages of its own on the same site. Those customers search for what you offer and a number to call, and they don't pass through any certificates to find both. That side is phone-first.

Supplying several institutions

If you supply more than one institution, it's worth raising when we first talk. Each may ask for different things, and the one that matters most to your business sets the order of the page.

Five things a purchasing office looks at

All of it comes from paperwork you already keep. Nothing here needs writing from scratch except the supply statement.

What a scope from me looks like

What a university supplier's scope includes

An example first scope — a New Haven firm supplying a university or another large institution, alongside local trade
v1
FIXED PRICE · PER PHASE

Included

  • A written scope: every page and feature as its own line, agreed before work starts
  • Design to build, reviewed on a staging URL that stays open the whole project
  • Mobile first — checked on a real phone
  • Domain, hosting and every account created in your name from day one
  • A credentials page listing insurance, certifications, registrations and references
  • Pages for the everyday local trade, on the same structure
  • Basic on-page SEO: titles, descriptions, headings, sitemap, Search Console connected
  • A runbook at handover: how to edit it, what renews and when

Phase two

  • A case study of the supplier relationship, with the institution unnamed unless it agrees
  • A separate section for each institution you supply, if their checks differ
  • Ongoing SEO once the site has traffic to read
  • A maintenance plan once the site is live
  • Logo and brand design, quoted separately from the build
Each waits until a buyer or a reference makes it worth doing.

Not doing

  • Guaranteed rankings
  • A promise that any buyer will approve you
Approval comes from the buyer and rankings come from Google. My team builds the site that presents you well to both.

Where this comes from

US work behind the build

Anyone looking into my record finds 900+ projects since 2017, with 600+ projects for US clients in that total.

I lead the build, and my team counts three developers, a designer and three SEO specialists in the Kolkata, India office, plus around six people working remotely. You'd deal with me directly at every stage. The team works on your schedule, in your time zone.

What moves the number

What adds work to a supplier site

Every certification and reference is written out exactly as issued, so they're counted one line each.

  • 01How many credentials need their own line
  • 02Whether the local trade gets a full section or a single page
  • 03How many institutions you supply, if each asks for something different
  • 04Whether a case study can describe the institution without naming it
  • 05Whether references need their permission gathered before they're listed
  • 06A fresh design, or your current look carried over

FAQ

Selling to large institutions

The same build suits firms selling to other large institutions.

Why does the site matter if the buyer already knows the firm?

A buyer who knows the firm still has colleagues who've never met you, and your site is the place they check. It has to say the same things about you that the buyer would.

Is an institutional supplier website different from a normal business site?

An institutional supplier website has the usual pages plus two more. One is the credentials page. The other is a plain statement of what you supply and how much of it you can deliver, written for a buyer who's comparing suppliers.

Can a supplier site name the institutions it serves?

A supplier site names an institution only once that institution has agreed. Until then, a case study can describe the relationship, the goods and the volume without the name, and the named version waits in phase two.

Can references be listed before they've agreed?

Each reference is listed only once that person has agreed, with their name and role written the way they prefer. Gathering those agreements is your side of the work, and the page keeps a place for each until it arrives.

Can a buyer download the certificates?

Each certificate can be offered as a PDF beside its entry, so a purchasing office can file a copy without writing to you. Anything that must stay private is left off, with a contact route for asking.

Can someone non-technical update a certificate?

Renewing a certificate or adding a reference is a short form in the editor, so there's no code involved, and the runbook walks through each one. Taking an expired one down uses the same form.

Next step

Your paperwork, laid out on the call

Have your certificates and registration numbers to hand when we speak, and I'll show you where each one sits in the layout. If any document has lapsed, we'll note it for renewal before it goes on the page.
