Web developer in Asansol — where local search decides it

Search for a web developer in Asansol and the map listings appear before any website. Your customers see the same order when they search for what you sell. That's why your Google Business Profile is the first thing I set up. The site is built beside it, with the same hours, address and phone number. Both sit in one written scope, and the accounts are in your name.

Asansol, West Bengal

Overview

Why local search carries weight here

Asansol is the second-largest urban area in West Bengal. Local search here is worth getting right.

I work from Kolkata, India. You check the build on a staging link from your own phone.

The scope is the document I'm held to. If something is not in it, I say so before it is built, not after.

I start from whatever you already have, whether that's a listing full of reviews or nothing at all.

What gets built here

Where the listing and the site have to agree

Each of these is checked against the listing before launch.

  1. 01Opening hours — the days and times you keep, the same on the listing as on the site.
  2. 02Address and phone number — written character for character, so a map search and the site lead to one door.
  3. 03Photographs — the listing carries a few; the site shows the work around them, sized to load on a phone.
  4. 04Reviews — they stay on the listing in your customers' own words, and the site points to them without rewording them.

What the listing does, and what the site does

They do different jobs, and the listing's job comes first.

  • 01

    The Google Business Profile

the map result, carrying your hours, your photographs and what customers have said
  • 02

    The website

where somebody who found you decides you're the one to call

Side by side

What should an Asansol site be built on?

I'd build on WordPress when you want to change your own photographs and prices. Next.js comes in when the site needs bookings or a customer login.

If it is not clear yet which one fits, that is settled before the scope is written, and the choice goes in as a line of its own.

I'd make this choice with you on a call, once I know what the site has to do.

What a scope from me looks like

The scope you sign off

Every page and feature is a written line, and you can open the preview whenever you like. Anything not written down belongs to the next phase.

You can ask for a change partway through. It's written in as a new line, and you agree it first.

Only you know which services you still offer. One you've dropped keeps drawing calls you can't take while it stays on the listing, so that list comes from you.

FIXED PRICE · PER PHASE

Included

  • A written scope: every page as its own line, agreed before work starts
  • Design to build, reviewed on a staging URL that stays open
  • Mobile first — checked on a real phone
  • Google Business Profile set up or claimed, and checked before launch
  • Domain, hosting and every account created in your name from day one
  • A runbook at handover: how to edit it, what renews and when

Phase two

  • Online payments or bookings
  • Ongoing local SEO with my SEO team in Kolkata, India
  • A maintenance plan once the site is live
  • Logo and brand design, quoted separately from the build
On the list now so the scope stays finishable; quoted when you ask.

Not doing

  • Writing or obtaining reviews — they have to be your customers' own words
  • Guaranteed rankings or map positions, by any wording
Reviews only count when customers write them. Map positions are Google's decision.

What moves the number

Small job or large: what decides it in Asansol

A brochure site with a handful of pages sits at the small end. Bookings or a customer login sit at the large end.

Most sites land somewhere between, depending on what each of these comes to.

  • 01Pages with their own contenteach one is written and built separately
  • 02Any moving partorders, bookings, payments, accounts
  • 03Photographs and copysupplied by you, or produced as part of the scope
  • 04Tools you already usea booking service or a payment account the site connects to

FAQ

Listings, local SEO and upkeep

From the first listing to the upkeep after launch.

Can you set up a listing for a business that doesn't have one?

A business with no Google listing yet can have one created as part of the scope. The verification step has to come from the business itself, so that part needs you. Once it's through, the listing and the site are filled in with the same details.

Which pages does a local business site need?

A local business site needs a home page that says what you do and where, a page for each service you'd like found, and a contact page with the map. That can be four or five pages. It grows only where a service has enough to say.

What does local SEO in Asansol involve once the site is live?

Local SEO in Asansol is quoted apart from the build and handled by my SEO team in Kolkata, India. It begins once there's traffic to read, and it's a separate line from the site.

Where do I change my opening hours later?

Opening hours are changed in two places, the Google listing and the site. Both are on the handover list, so a change on one is not forgotten on the other.

Who keeps the site running after launch?

You can keep the site running yourself, using the handover notes on editing it and on what renews when. A maintenance plan is there if you'd prefer someone else to handle updates and backups. Either way, it's decided before launch.

What to send before we talk

Share the link to your listing, or just the business name. I'll have looked at it before the call, and we'll go through it together.
