Web developer in Uttar Dinajpur, for traders who work by referral

My starting point, for a trader who wants a web developer in Uttar Dinajpur and gets work by referral, is a handful of plain pages and a correct Google listing. The pages tell a buyer who you are and what you trade. They also name the area you cover and the person to ring, so a call reaches somebody who can answer it.

Overview

Where the website fits

If your work comes through referrals and phone calls, the website sits behind those conversations. When a buyer hears your name and looks you up, the site should confirm the business is real and give them the right number.

My first questions are about the people who send you work: who they are, and what they tell a buyer about you. Colours and layouts are a later conversation.

What gets built here

The details a referral leans on

A recommendation gets your name to a buyer, and these details carry it the rest of the way.

  • Who you are and what you trade — in plain words, on the home page, ahead of everything else.
  • The area you cover — named outright, so a buyer can tell straight away whether you reach them.
  • A person to ring — a name beside the number, so the call reaches somebody who can answer.
  • One phone number, written one way — on the site, on the Google listing and on anything you print.

What moves the number

What this district's build costs ride on

You either need these now or can leave them for later. I'd start with the first line and add the others only when a buyer needs them.

  • 01How many services or product lines are distinct enough to need a page apiece
  • 02Whether buyers can place an order or ask for a quote on the site
  • 03Photographs of your stock and premisesand how many of them the home page carries
  • 04Any software you already run for stock or billing that the site has to match
  • 05How much of the wording already exists, and how much we write together from your notes

Where this runs over

Left out of the first build, on purpose

Extra pages beyond the first few, added when a buyer needs them.

Each of these can come later, once the first version is doing its job.

Online ordering and payment wait until buyers ask for them, and each is priced on its own.

What a scope from me looks like

One call, before anything moves

An example first scope — a small trading business
v1
FIXED PRICE · PER PHASE

Included

  • A written scope: every page and feature as its own line, agreed before work starts
  • Design to build, reviewed on a staging URL that stays open the whole project
  • Tested on a real phone screen before any of it is signed off
  • Domain, hosting and every account created in your name from day one
  • A few plain pages, with the area you cover named on the first
  • Basic on-page SEO: titles, descriptions, headings, sitemap, Search Console connected
  • A runbook at handover: how to edit it, what renews and when

Phase two

  • Online enquiries or a product list
  • Ongoing SEO once the site has traffic to read
  • A maintenance plan once the site is live
  • Logo and brand design, quoted separately from the build
None of these is needed for a buyer to find you and ring, so they wait until you want them.

Not doing

  • Guaranteed rankings
Google decides where a site appears, so a ranking promise stays out of every scope I write.

Anything the ledger doesn't list gets added as a new line, and priced, before I touch it.

FAQ

Before you spend a rupee on a website

Nothing is built until you've agreed every line of the scope.

Do we need a website at all?

Probably, yes. A small business website earns its place even when work comes by referral, because a buyer who hears your name may look you up before ringing. If even that feels like too much right now, say so on the call, and we'll work out the smallest useful start.

What should the Google listing carry?

The right business category, first. After that, add real photographs of your premises or stock. The phone number on it shouldn't differ from the website by a single digit, because a referred buyer may try either one.

Can the site grow later if the trade does?

Yes, and without a rebuild. The domain, hosting and accounts are in your name, so a product list or online enquiries become new lines in a new scope, each priced before it's built.

How much material should we gather first?

Very little. I need to hear how a regular buyer would describe your business to a friend, and a few real photographs of your stock or premises help too. Whatever wording you already have, I'll shape it into the pages.

Does a short site still look professional?

It does when every page is finished. Before anything goes live, I open each page on a real phone and check its details against what you've told me. A page with your own photographs on it looks like a working business, because it is one.

What I'll ask when we speak

Tell me how buyers find you today, and what they ask when they ring. Those two answers decide what goes on the home page.
