Web developer in Suri, for the trip made for one job

Ask a web developer in Suri what an office or a supplier here needs first, and the answer is a small mobile site: your phone number at the top, what you offer, and directions people can follow. Suri is the district headquarters, so people come in for offices, services and suppliers. Each visit is usually for one job. Before the trip, they look it up on a phone.

Overview

What gets typed into the phone

Someone who needs a service in Suri types the service, not the name of a shop they've never heard of.

Opening hours and the address get fixed before any design work starts. If the listing says one time and the board outside says another, a customer can't tell which is right, and may not come at all.

Two screens on one desk: an editor full of code, and a laptop open on a web page

Checked before anyone calls

A customer looks for these on a mobile first, before deciding whether to make the trip.

  • 01

A phone number at the top of the screen, one tap to call

  • 02

Directions in a sentence or two, written the way you'd give them over the phone

What gets built here

Page by page

What sits on each page, from the top down. Short, so it's easy to read on a small screen in a hurry.

  • What the service includes, in a short paragraph.
  • What a customer should bring, if they need papers or samples.
  • A person to ask for, by name, when they arrive.
  • Your WhatsApp number, so a missed call can still end in a message.

Where this comes from

When you need help later

Support is the whole team, not one person — reach us any time, and someone picks it up. That holds after launch as much as during the build.

Finished work is on the projects page, picked from 900+ projects completed.

What moves the number

How the figure is reached

The number of services covered at launch moves the figure most. Every line in the scope carries its own price, and how a quote is built is written out for you to read first.

How many services are covered at launch
Online booking, or a phone number and an enquiry form for now
Photographs of the office, from a phone for now or a proper shoot later
Updating your Google listing at the same time as the site
How many places outside Suri town you want to be found from

What changes the size of the job.

What a scope from me looks like

What goes live on day one?

I list what goes live first in the written scope, starting with whatever brings the most calls today. You can change the order later, and it's your call which service leads.

Every heading is checked with you on the staging link before launch. You read it the way a customer would, on your own phone, and anything unclear gets rewritten.

FAQ

Listings, first lines, villages and edits

On the Google listing, what goes first, the villages and changes after launch.

We are a small office in Suri. Do we need more than a Google listing?

A Google listing carries your name and a few lines. A site adds room to explain what each service includes and what a customer should bring along. Keep both. They don't do the same job.

What should the site say first?

Your phone number, then the service in plain words. A customer on the way in wants to call before they set off.

What takes the most work on a site like this?

Getting the hours and the address to agree everywhere they appear. It sounds small. It isn't, because each place may have been set up by a different person at a different time, and every line needs checking.

Do you cover the villages around Suri?

Yes, if customers come to you from them. You give me the list, and each village is named on the site in the spelling people use.

Can we change the site ourselves after launch?

Yes, for the everyday things: a new phone number, a holiday notice, a changed fee. The runbook at handover shows each step, and anything bigger comes back to me.

Who owns everything at the end?

Domain, hosting and each account sit under the business's name from the first login. The handover runbook names every one and when it renews, so nothing's left depending on me later.

Next step

Start from the listing you have

Book a call when you have your Google listing to hand. The first page starts from it, and anything out of date gets fixed as we go.

Bring a printed card or a letterhead too, if you have one.
