Social Link Preview
See how a link looks when shared on Facebook, LinkedIn, X and WhatsApp. Fetch the Open Graph tags from a live page, or write them here, then copy the tag block into your page.
A free Open Graph preview tool: see how a link will look when shared on Facebook, LinkedIn, X and WhatsApp. Fetch the tags from a live page or fill them in, check the cards, and copy the meta tags to paste into your page. Runs in your browser; the optional fetch reads public pages only.
Share your link on WhatsApp or LinkedIn and get a grey box with no picture — the link is easy to scroll past.
Paste the address and see what the preview really looks like on each app.
<meta property="og:title" content="Your page title" /> <meta property="og:description" content="Your description — one or two sentences that make the link worth opening." /> <meta property="og:image" content="https://yourwebsite.com/og-image.jpg" /> <meta property="og:url" content="https://yourwebsite.com/" /> <meta property="og:type" content="website" /> <meta name="twitter:card" content="summary_large_image" /> <meta name="twitter:title" content="Your page title" /> <meta name="twitter:description" content="Your description — one or two sentences that make the link worth opening." /> <meta name="twitter:image" content="https://yourwebsite.com/og-image.jpg" />
The page you enter is fetched once by our server (public sites only), read, and discarded — nothing is stored, and your own files never come into it.

Your links, with a proper preview wherever they are shared
Left: a link shared on WhatsApp or LinkedIn that shows a grey box or the wrong title. Right: every page that gets shared with its own og:title, og:description and a 1200 × 630 image, so the preview shows the picture and the words you chose.

How it works
How to use the Social Link Preview
- 01Paste a page address to read its current tags — or skip that and fill the fields.
- 02Check the three cards. No picture means the page has no og:image; a wrong title means og:title is missing.
- 03Copy the meta tags into the page's <head> and share the link again (Facebook's debugger refreshes its cache).
Good to know
The image size that works everywhere
1200 × 630 pixels (1.91:1), JPEG or PNG, kept small — some apps skip large images — as an absolute https URL. Facebook and LinkedIn use 1.91:1; X recommends 2:1 for its large card and trims a 1.91:1 image slightly; WhatsApp shows a square crop of the same image.
In more depth
About the social link preview
What Open Graph tags do
When someone pastes your link into Facebook, LinkedIn, X, WhatsApp, Slack or iMessage, the app reads a handful of meta tags — og:title, og:description, og:image, og:url — and builds the card from them. No tags means the app guesses: a random image from the page, or no card at all. A link without a card is a single line of text, easy to scroll past.
Every site we build ships with these tags on every page, with a dedicated image. The tool fetches a page's current tags so you can see what is missing, and writes the block to paste if you are fixing it yourself.
FAQ
Social Link Preview — questions
Why does my link show no picture when shared?
- The page has no og:image tag, or the image URL is relative, behind a login, or larger than the platform allows. Use an absolute https URL to a 1200 × 630 JPEG or PNG, and keep the file small — some apps skip large images.
I fixed the tags but Facebook still shows the old preview
- Facebook caches previews. Paste the URL into the Facebook Sharing Debugger and press Scrape Again; LinkedIn has a Post Inspector that does the same.
What size should the og:image be?
- 1200 × 630 pixels (1.91:1). Facebook and LinkedIn use that ratio; X recommends 2:1 for its large card, so it trims a little off the top and bottom; WhatsApp shows a square crop of the same image. Keep the subject in the centre.
Do I need separate Twitter tags?
- X falls back to Open Graph tags, but twitter:card="summary_large_image" is what makes it show the big picture instead of a small thumbnail. The tag block here includes it.
